Chikmagalur 2 Days Tour Packages from Bangalore
Hello Backpackers,
Copravasi brings you a fun-filled weekend getaway to the enchanting hills of Chikmagalur, Karnataka’s very own coffee paradise. This trip is packed with adventure and relaxation — from a thrilling Jeep ride to Mullayannagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, to a chilling dip in the refreshing Buttermilk Waterfalls, a serene coffee estate homestay, an offbeat trek to Bandekallu Gudda, delicious local food, and a whole lot of bonding and socializing!
Located about 250 km from Bangalore, Chikmagalur is famous for its lush green hills, captivating landscapes, and, of course, its fragrant coffee plantations. Whether you're a nature lover or an avid trekker, this destination offers the best of both worlds. The Bababudangiri mountain range provides stunning vistas of the Western Ghats, especially dramatic during the monsoon when clouds gently roll over the hills. In the drier months, the region transforms into a breezy haven with tranquil sunsets.
Once we check in at our cozy coffee estate homestay, the adventure kicks off with a Jeep ride to Mullayannagiri, standing tall at 1,930 meters above sea level. A small temple at the summit offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys, and the high winds up here only make the moment more magical. After soaking in the sights, we head to the Buttermilk Waterfalls, where water tumbles down the rocks in a stream so white it truly lives up to its name. Adventurous souls can take a refreshing shower under the falls before we head toward the Bababudangiri Hills, another scenic gem offering jaw-dropping views.
After a fulfilling day in the mountains, we’ll return to the homestay for an eventful and cozy evening filled with good food and great company.
On the second day, we explore Chikmagalur town, beginning with a visit to the iconic Princess Statue. Here, you can sample fresh local coffee, shop for souvenirs, and soak in the town's charm. We’ll then head to the serene Hirekolale Lake, followed by a short, offbeat trek to Bandekallu Gudda, which takes us through rugged trails and peaceful coffee plantations. Before we head back to Bangalore, there’s one final stop at the Yagachi backwaters — the perfect ending to a perfect trip.
Altogether, this Chikmagalur trekking and coffee estate stay is a short and sweet escape — just what you need for a refreshing weekend away from the city.
